Hello! Panama, you will have a great time! Here are some answers for you. 1. The official currency is the Balboa, but the US dollar is excepted everywhere. You may receive change in Balboa which is all coins in 5, 10, 25, 50, 100 cent pieces. 2. The voltage is the same as ours so you do not need to bring an adapter! 3. What to do there; Panama city is the most cosmopolitan city in Central America so I would spend a day exploring! If you want to go surfing Santa Catalina is one of the best places in Central America. There are tons of adventure and water sports; sea kayaking, mountain treking, whitewater rafting. I would personally want to explore the rain forest. Since you are staying at a resort you will most likely just want to do day trips. Ancon Expeditions has some good ones. This site also had some interesting looking day trips www.tropicalnaturetravel.com/travel/panama/daytrips_panama.shtmlAlso www.citydiscovery.com/country/Panama/day_trips_and_excursions_outside_the_city had some as well. I have not done any of these so I cannot tell you which is best, but these are the best that I have found. I have an email out to a few of my friends who have been there and will get back to you with more suggestions as soon as I hear from them. Hope that helps a bit, please feel free to ask any more questions. Have a great trip!!! ~ The Traveling Waitress

SWEET! Was hoping the voltage was going to be the same! YAY for not having frizzy hair on my honeymoon! We definitely will be doing some day trips. A day exploring sounds great (normally all my holidays are like that, not a big fan of the resort holidays!)... Good news about the US dollars too... If anyone else has any other suggestions on things to do/see I'm listening!

Hi bgirl! Just wondered how your honeymoon went? Did you do any day trips ? Where did you stay? How was the weather. Let us know if you have the time. The Traveling Waitress.
