I have been looking at booking a carribean cruise leaving the 26th of December, but it seems that week is way more expensive than any other. Do you think I should just forget the new years idea and book for Jan/Feb while prices are still good. Or wait to see if cruise prices drop as we get closer?

Hello!
Thank you for your question.
Unfortunately the weeks of Christmas and New Years are the busiest all year. The travel industry takes full advantage of this and EVERYTHING is at least twice as much as is it any other time of year. The price will not drop as it gets closer because of this, other times of year yes, but not these two weeks, sorry to tell you. In fact it may increase in price the closer it gets.
Is your heart set on the idea of being away for New Years or on being on a caribbean cruise? If it is on being away for New Years, I have some other ideas for you.
If your hear is set on going on a caribbean cruise this year then I would wait until after the Christmas season.
If it is the two together I have found some for $700/person
A few more questions to help me understand exactly what you are looking for: are you going away with friends, family, or a partner? Does it have to be the Caribbean? How long do you have to travel?
Just get back to me with these answers and I will help you as much as I can.

Thanks for the help! We're not set on a cruise, just a hot getaway, New Years works best because everybody has some time off between chirstmas and new years. It would be a family thing. Thanks again.

Hello again,
I found that cruises are actually cheaper then all inclusive for your time of travel, buy almost half. Another bonus of cruises when traveling with family is that there is something to do for everyone. Also, you can see more then one destinations. So these are the cruises I found for you so far. Please let me know if you need anymore information or have any more questions.
CARNIVAL CRUISE LINES: 1. 7 nights, Tampa, Grand CAyman, Mexico. Belize, Honduras, Tampa. Departs Dec 26 Ocean view room $1, 099 CND 2. 7 nights, Fort Lauderdale, Grand Cayman, Jamaica, Fort Lauderdale. Departs Dec 26 Ocean view room $939 CND 3. 7 nights, Miami, Grand Cayman, Honduras, Belize, Mexico. Miami. Departs Dec 26 Ocean view room $ 1, 039 CND (this same itinerary also departs from Tampa)
HOLLAND AMERICA 1. 7 nights, Fort Lauderdale, Key West, Honduras, Guatemala, Costa Maya, Fort Lauderdale. Departs Dec 26 Ocean view room $990 CND 2. 7 nights, Fort Lauderdale, Bahamas, Turks & Caicos, Grand Cayman, Mexico, Fort Lauderdale. Departs Dec 26 Ocean view room $ 1, 009 CND
PRINCESS CRUISE 1. 7nights, Fort Lauderdale, Bahamas, St. Marrten, St. Thomas, Turks & Caicos, Fort Lauderdale. Departs Dec 26 Ocean View $889 CND, Balcony $ 988 CND
CELEBRITY CRUISE 1. 7 nights, Fort Lauderdale, Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, St. Maarten, Fort Lauderdale. departs Dec 26. OCean view room $769 CND
I can help you find cheap flights to the port as well. Since they are all in the USA I highly recommend flying out of Buffalo, it is much cheaper and about the same distance as going to Toronto.
Please let me know what else I can do to ensure you have an awesome trip. Also, please let me know how it goes when you come back.

Thanks for all your help! I think we are going to push the cruise to Jan or Feb. And flying out of the states sounds like a good idea too. I'll let you know! Thanks again,.
